While it is true that “our citizenship is in heaven” (Philippians 3:20), it is also true that we are to be good stewards of our time on earth by getting involved in our political system. As St. Augustine once said, “The kingdoms of the earth need people to be involved who are citizens of the heavenly kingdom.”  

Living in a constitutional republic gives “we the people” the opportunity to involve ourselves in our political system. In every election, we have an opportunity to shine our light by voting according to the biblical values we hold as Christians.
